Your vision, your building

Students invited to shape the future of the new building for the Fort Garry campus.

Students are invited to help shape the future of campus learning spaces at an upcoming feedback session on the new building that will replace the Elizabeth Dafoe Library and include additional spaces such as lecture halls and offices for the Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning.

The new building will combine modern library services with lecture spaces, and planners want to hear directly from the people who will use it every day. We know that Elizabeth Dafoe Library is a beloved study space for students. Identify the spaces that exist today that need to be re-created in the new space. Whether you study late at night, book group rooms, or simply need a quiet corner between classes, your ideas can help shape what comes next.

When: Thursday, October 22, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Where: University Centre, 5th floor, Rooms 543 and 544

RSVP by: Thursday, October 15, 2:00 p.m.

Register here: Microsoft form

Light refreshments will be provided.

Organizers are looking for honest, creative feedback on what students want and need from the space, from study areas and technology to lecture room layouts and comfort features. No preparation is required. Students are encouraged to come, enjoy lunch, and share their vision.
