Ceremonies for October University of Manitoba graduands will be held from October 20 to 22, 2026.
This October, UM students will once again cross the Convocation stage as friends and families cheer them on. UM will be awarding 2 honorary degrees over the course of these ceremonies.
Fall 2026 convocation ceremonies will be held in person, with live streams of each of the ceremonies available online.

If you are a student have declared your intent to graduate, you should have already received emails to your UM account with instructions on how to claim your academic attire and what to expect from this year's ceremonies. If you haven't received the information, please email Graduation.Convocation@umanitoba.ca.
To ensure every graduate ahs the opportunity to celebrate with their supporters, each graduate may claim up to five complimentary guest tickets for the ceremony. Links to claim their complimentary tickets have been sent to graduates' UM student email address.
Note: Children aged 3 and under do not require a ticket.

The honorary degree is the highest honour the University of Manitoba can offer to an individual for distinguished achievement in scholarship, teh arts, or public service.
Durin the Fall 2026 Convocation ceremonies, UM will confer the following honorary degrees:
Wednessday, October 21, 2026 - Anthony von Mandl (LL.D.)
Thursday, October 22, 2026 - Jennine Krauchi (D. Litt)
