On October 8, UM faculty, staff, students and external stakeholders gathered at a well-attended event at the Innovation Hub to celebrate an historic milestone – the official launch of our ambitious five-year strategy for maximum research impact.
The newly introduced Strategic Research Plan, titled “Change Through Research”, is a comprehensive roadmap designed to propel UM into a leading position in global and national impact.
The plan highlights seven key themes:
- Foundations
- Social Justice and Human Rights
- Research by, for, and with Indigenous Peoples
- Water and Food Security
- Health and Well-Being
- Climate Action and Sustainability
- Manitoba, Hudson Bay, Arctic and the World
