Registration season is coming! Registration for Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms opens to all UM students throughout July. It is time to begin preparing for registration to ensure that you can register in the courses that you need without hassle.
Registration access times for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms were released in students' Aurora accounts on June 26, 2026. This is the earliest date you can begin registration for courses in the Fall and Winter terms.
You can begin to prepare for registration by checking your registration access time and ensuring you have no holds or restrictions on your account that might prevent registration.
Follow these steps to find your registration access time and registration status in Aurora:
In the 'Registration Status' section, you will see the date and time when you can begin your registration. It will be listed in MM/DD/YYYY format. Your time ticket (registration access time) will be be displayed in a blue box when you are able to register, and it will be displayed in a red box when you are not yet able to register.
Make sure that you have no holds on your account, that you meet your faculty requirements, and that your student status permits registration.
A green check mark indicates you are eligible to register, while a red mark means there is an issue that needs to be addressed. If you see a red mark, you may need to resolve a hold or consult an academic advisor.
On your registration day, follow these steps to register:
