Pop-up UM photo ID service coming to Bannatyne campus

Students and staff will have opportunities obtain their UM photo ID at Bannatyne campus ahead of the Fall term.

Photo ID Service will be available at the Bannatyne campus on several dates from late June to early September. This is a great way to get your UM student or staff ID card before the Fall term.

Your UM ID card is a form of identification and is essential for accessing many campus services and spaces, including:

Returning students with existing photo ID cards do not need a new card each year/term.

How to get your UM ID card on Bannatyne campus

Photo ID services are only available on Bannatyne campus on the days of the pop-up. Year-round ID service is available at the Registrar's Office at 400 University Centre on Fort Garry campus.

Location: Neil John Maclean Health Sciences Library, Room 339, Brodie Centre

  • Monday June 29, 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Tuesday June 30, 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Tuesday August 4, 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Wednesday August 12, 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Monday August 17, 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Monday August 31, 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Wednesday September 2, 9:00am - 4:00pm

What to bring:

  • Government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport)
  • Study permit (if applicable)
  • Payment (VISA/MasterCard) - for student replacement IDs only

Join the queue

Step 1: Check into the queue
  • Check in online to join the virtual queue.
  • You will receive a text message when we are almost ready to serve you in room 339 Brodie Centre (inside Neil John Maclean Health Sciences Library)
Step 2: Present identification
  • Come to room 339 Brodie Centre, and present the following:
    • Government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport)
    • Study permit (if applicable)
    • Payment (VISA/MasterCard - for replacement IDs only.
Step 3: Take photo and print ID card
  • Our team will:
    • Confirm your identify and student ID card eligibility
    • Take your photo
    • Record your signature
    • Print your ID card in just a few minutes
