Visitors invited to explore studios across ARTlab and the Art Barn – March 25
The School of Art at the University of Manitoba will host MFA Open Studios on Wednesday, March 25, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, inviting visitors to explore the working spaces of graduate students in the Master of Fine Arts program.
Taking place across Taché Hall and the Art Barn, the event offers a chance to see works in progress and speak directly with artists about their research, materials, and creative processes. Working across a wide range of media—including painting, sculpture, installation, drawing, photography, and interdisciplinary practices—students will present projects currently under development as part of their graduate research.
Open Studios provides a glimpse into the day-to-day life of the MFA program, highlighting the experimentation, inquiry, and material exploration that shape graduate studio practice at the School of Art.
Participating MFA artists include Aria Evans, Séamus Gallagher, Galateia Kefalas, Mike Lau, Maria Martin, Nona Niroumand, Christina Oyawale, Sara Sattari, Hailey Verbonac, and Fan Xia.
Visitors are welcome to move between studio spaces throughout the afternoon and engage directly with artists about their work.
