We asked Anthony Campbell to take us along for a day and give us a behind the scenes look at what it’s like to be an Undergraduate Research Award recipient.
Hands-on science and community connection
Anthony spends his time working in the Movement Control and Chiropractic Lab under Dr. Steven Passmore. In the lab, he’s involved in hands-on research, exploring questions about movement and the human body.
Each day brings something new, whether it’s hosting kids from the WISE Kid-netic Energy Camp, learning from those around him or finding new ways to approach a research question.
One of the projects he has been involved with focuses on developing a teaching and learning model to help facilitate movement in the spine.
Growth beyond the bench
For Anthony, the URA experience has been more than research. It has also been about the people he has met, the experience he has gained and the skills he has developed.
“I’ve had the privilege to meet a lot of great people and have a lot of great experiences through the URA. The experience has been really special, and it's given me a lot of skills that I don't think I would have acquired anywhere else,” says Anthony.
