The UM/UMFA Merit Awards recognize faculty members for outstanding achievements in teaching, research, scholarly and creative work, and service. Each year, Joint Committees on Merit Awards review applications submitted from across the university and select recipients in three award categories. Recipients receive a $3,000 award and will be formally recognized at a reception held in the Spring.
