Sunjin Han, fourth-year doctor of pharmacy student at UM, spoke to CBC Radio's Yukon Morning about her experience working in Whitehorse, Yukon during her two-month rotation and how Yukon pharmacies are filling critical healthcare gaps.

Han highlighted the expanding role of pharmacists in the North and the essential services they provide to remote communities facing doctor shortages.

"Being up in Whitehorse, I think, just reminded me of why I chose pharmacy in the first place and why advocating for pharmacy practice to be recognized as just as important as physician services and nursing services matters so much," Han told CBC.
