BFA Honours Graduating Exhibition returns to the School of Art

Annual exhibition showcases the next generation of artists across ARTlab

The University of Manitoba School of Art presents the BFA Honours Graduating Exhibition, opening April 24 at ARTlab.

A long-standing annual tradition, the exhibition features the culminating work of twenty-seven graduating Honours students, offering a dynamic snapshot of emerging artistic practices across disciplines.

Spanning the ARTlab building, the exhibition includes work in photography, sculpture, ceramics, painting, drawing, printmaking, installation, video, and design. Installed throughout studios, classrooms, and hallway, the exhibition invites visitors to move through multiple floors and encounter a wide range of approaches, materials, and ideas.

The exhibition is accompanied by a professionally printed catalogue designed by alumnus Ernest Zarzuela [BFA Hon’21], and the opening reception will feature a special video screening, a graduating student print sale and SOFASA merch alongside food, drinks, music, and so much more.

Together, the works reflect the depth of research, experimentation, and material exploration developed over the course of each student’s degree, marking an important moment in their transition from undergraduate study into professional practice.
