The University of Manitoba Libraries is pleased to announce that the University of Manitoba Dataverse has been certified as a Trustworthy Data Repository by the CoreTrustSeal Standards and Certification Board.
CoreTrustSeal is an international non-governmental organization promoting sustainable and trustworthy data infrastructures. Only data repositories of a sufficiently high standard are certified. The University of Manitoba Dataverse has demonstrated it meets this standard for data management and preservation, and is one of only five Canadian repositories currently certified.
Researchers at the University of Manitoba who deposit their research data with UM Libraries can be assured that their data will continue to be discoverable, accessible, and reusable now and in the future.
The University of Manitoba Dataverse is an online, publicly accessible data repository platform for UM faculty, students and staff. UM’s Dataverse is a member of Borealis, a bilingual, multi-disciplinary and secure research data repository supported by academic libraries and research institutions across Canada.
Funding and support for the UM Libraries CoreTrustSeal application was provided by the Digital Research Alliance of Canada.
