This is a week dedicated to connecting you with a wide range of events, supports, resources and workshops to help you finish the academic year strong. Whether it’s academic, career, health and wellness or finding community, use this week to explore the many services designed to help you!
The Student Experience and Development (SEAD) and Shir Gonzales (Peer program framework specialist) have organized a scavenger hunt to help you find some of these services through friendly competition. Along the way, you will uncover peer programs found in five areas of Student Affairs. Peer programs are where you can find support, community, and insights from more experienced students who have navigated the same challenges. If you haven’t visited any of the many UM peer supports before, now is the perfect time to learn where they are and how they can help. Student Success Week is more than just academic supports. It’s geared towards building connections and finding a sense of belonging while you complete your studies.

Take a look at all the Student Success Week events.
Here are some of the peer programs available to you—whether you’re looking for support or are interested in supporting your peers:
- Sustainability Ambassadors are peers who support students passionate about the environment in learning how to incorporate more sustainable actions into their day-to-day lives.
- Volunteer Notetakers are essential peers who share their notes with students who have academic accommodations related to notetaking and access to course materials.
- The Healthy Relationships Workshop is a resource where students can learn from peer facilitators about shared consent, sexual violence, and boundaries. The workshop offers broad, practical knowledge focused on university-related relationships, campus community responsibilities, and relevant supports and resources.
- If you’re not sure where to go for something you need, your peers at the Connection Desk are ready to help you get connected and find the resources and answers you’re looking for.
Be sure to take full advantage of all Student Success Week has to offer to help you find success and community at UM, Bisons.
