A degree in chemistry opens doors like no other. Chemists can be found everywhere, from industry to research and development to academia. From food and cosmetic chemistry to forensic chemistry, students will have various opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the world. Not just after graduation, but throughout their degree as well.
At the Department of Chemistry, students have the opportunity to explore different research areas and experience collaborations with other labs and external industry partners.
It is very important to us that our students are well-rounded and experts in their field. They have access to expertise in literally across the entire department.
The Department of Chemistry, along with the student clubs create a supportive, diverse and inclusive environment for students to find community and thrive. This work does not stop at the Department of Chemistry and goes beyond through outreach activities with schools and communities, inspiring the next generation of scientists.
